JULY 19, 2010, THE DAY OUR INVESTORS TOOK OVER THE BAR. MY 15 LOVELY PROFESSIONAL BARTENDERS AND STAFF QUIT ON THE SPOT, DESPITE THE INVESTORS BEGGING AND BRIBING THEM TO COME BACK FOR A MONTH.
THEY ALREADY HAD NEW JOBS BECAUSE THEY HAD WORKED AT WINE & ROSES. IT WAS LIKE A BADGE OF HONOR.
THE VERY WEALTHY INVESTORS ALL LOST THEIR SHIRTS FROM DAY ONE. THEY LOST ALL THE PROFITS I HAD DISTRIBUTED TO THEM FOR FOUR YEARS. AND THEN LOST MORE. THEY LOST ALL MY CUSTOMERS. THE RICH AND THE FAMOUS THAT CAME TO SEE ME FOR YEARS. THEY LOST THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD.
THE SPACE WAS ONLY 24 FT. BY 25 FT. AND TODD & I BROUGHT IN AROUND $ 1,750,000.00 PER YEAR.
